How long does it take to learn a language?

Use the

Language Learning Calculator

to work it out!

This formula (or equation) developed by James Hogan, with the assistance of Adult English School and Adult Language School, is the result of research, interviews with thousands of students, and countless highly productive discussions with language tutors over a 10 year period.

This formula will continue to grow and develop
so the language learning equation below is Version 1, July 2010.

The Hogan Language Formula
developed by James Hogan at Adult English School in Sydney, Australia.

PF + P + T + PE + PMT + R + LS + TC + C + ({L+R+W+S}/4=MTS) + LE + SP + RD + LC + LEH + EC + GS + FC +  CLRMT + DMS + ATM + A + LAS + LTT + ECT = _____   /250
Where 250=1-4 weeks and 50=More than 2 years.
